The kids have a bunny, named Greypaw.

The kids decided a couple of weeks ago that Graypaw needed to get out for a walk everyday.

bun on a walk

So far it's been good for everyone. The bunny gets exercise, the kids get out of the apartment, and the neighbors get a bit of humor.

Everybody wins.

Perhaps start him on Small Gods. He'll find and appreciate the joke in that line soon enough.

Shave the rabbit and rename it to Dubber. (Inspired by actual family history.)

involves startling a wild rabbit. Without fail, I always point at it and exclaim, "Bunny!" I think that reaction is so hardwired in my brain, that I'd do the same if I saw kids walking their rabbit.

    WPKAW bought a harness for our rabbit by Dr H0ffm4n (4.00 / 2) #14 Tue Mar 11, 2008 at 07:29:02 AM EST
George tore it to shreds. The harness looked like the one in this  image. I don't blame George at all.

and the bunny doesn't mind it at all. He lets my daughter slip it on easily. Sometimes he fights as she tries to take it off.

Sounds like George is a grouchy bunny.

    He's independently spirited.
